Kythe celebrated wins for the House of Representatives and Senate of the Philippines basketball team at the UNTV Cup, the charity basketball league created last 2013 for the channel’s anniversary celebration. Comprising House representatives and senators, the team, called The Legislators, chose Kythe to be its beneficiary for the duration of the tournament. Congressman Niel Tupas Jr. won the three-point hoop shots and turned over his winnings to Kythe Executive Director Girlie Lorenzo.
The Kythe kids gamely cheered on as their talented players carried them all the way to second place in their last match in October. The Legislators then donated PHP100,000.00 to Kythe Foundation.
Kythe specially thanks the Legislators and congratulates UNTV on forwarding the charity basketball league, where public servants can engage in healthy competition for a good cause.
