What We Do

Kythe Child Life Services aim to provide psycho-social support that alleviates the anxiety of pediatric patients who suffer from illness such as cancer, heart condition, kidney disease, and blood disorders. Kythe provides families with information on basic access to medicines and treatment. The approach to enabling families to cope with their children’s condition includes counseling and bereavement support.

Hospital Safety Kit

Relaxing COVID protocols give all the more reason to equip children in hospitals with the Hospital Safety Kit. The contents of the kit have been consulted with doctors in partner hospitals thus making sure that each item is safe to be used by any given child with specific medication, treatment, and conditions—

  • KN95 masks
  • Surgical face masks
  • Thermometer
  • Paracetamol
  • Cough Syrup
  • Alcohol
  • Wet wipes
  • Sanitizer
  • Scotts Vitamin C
  • Ear-savers
  • Liquid Hand Soap

Choosing protection above all else gives children the chance to stay happy and alive. Afford them that fighting chance with the Hospital Safety Kit.

Happiness Online

Without access to the internet, psycho-social services that Tele-Child Life Sessions aim for children and their families would be impossible. Happiness Online affords cellphone load or internet connection for children and their families in order for them to avail Tele-Child Life Sessions, which are inclusive of guidance and monitoring by the child life coordinator, online playdate sessions that reach children even in remote locations among a few.

Let’s keep them in the loop as more opportunities are being made available in the increasingly online world. Grant them Happiness Online.

Donate Personal Activity Kits - Kythe Foundation Inc

Personal Activity Kit

The Personal Activity Kit contains art materials that engage the thinking and creative faculties of children. Children are continually learning and in need of enriching activities regardless of the disease.

Kythe appropriates each Personal Activity Kit based on a child’s age group: Pre-school (<5 years old); school age (6-10 years old); and, teens (11-18 years old) whether in hospitals, at their homes or while their conditions do not allow them yet to go to school or explore outdoors. With corresponding online playdate sessions guided by child life coordinators, each Personal Activity Kit is carefully packed and planned to maximize the capacity of children to still play and learn.

Allowing children to play is teaching them to learn. Support their personal growth with the Personal Activity Kit.

Donate to Adopt a Patient - Kythe Foundation Inc

Adopt a Patient

The recovery of the child patient is Kythe's top priority. Adopt a Patient service provides monthly assistance to child patients, giving them access to medical services necessary for their healing and recovery:

  • Medical procedures such as blood transfusions, X-rays, and CT scans
  • Medicines such as antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs
  • Vitamins
  • Transportation allowance to help a child patient comply to medical treatment

Survivors Program - Kythe Foundation

Survivors Program

Burdened with the expenses of chemotherapy and other medical expenses, education for children with cancer and other chronic illnesses, more often than not, takes the back seat. In an effort to deliver a more holistic care to our patients, Kythe survivors’ program aims to provide educational assistance to the patients who are willing to continue their studies and pursue a degree in college.

This program covers the daily allowance of the student including transportation, meals and other expenses that would be incurred.

Share A Fare - Kythe Foundation

Share a Fare

One of the reasons that treatment becomes inaccessible to child patients is lack of transportation funds.

Share a Fare helps the children comply to medical treatment regularly, increasing their chances of getting cured and live life to the fullest.
