September 8, 2012–Kythe held its annual Family Day at the AFP Medical Center covered gym for 20 Kythe patients from NCR affiliate-hospitals and their families. It was an entire day of Passion for Wellness–this year’s theme was named after the intent to allot a day for the families to unwind and enjoy leisure or wellness activities together. The participants enjoyed, as families or individuals, the following activities: fishing game; manicure, haircut, and massage; photo booth; face painting; make-up tutorial; educational board games; healthy food preparation; aerobics; bingo game, and; art workshop.
Kythe was able to put together its Family Day with a lot of help. Thanks to AFP Medical Center and our booth keepers: Kythe-Ateneo, Ms. Christine Llige-Reyes, Xavier School Parents Auxiliary, and Our Lady of Fatima University Philippine Association of Nutrition-Theta Zeta Chapter. Each family was able to get a care package from SC Johnson, Mr. Absalom Dacer, Mr. Achilles Martinez of 7-11, Ms. Jeenee Desiderio of Country Bankers Life Insurance Corporation, and Kythe-Ateneo, who we thank, as well. We are grateful and honored for having an art workshop for the participants by artist Mr. Noel Catacutan and his extra effort in involving sponsors for the materials through Dong-A and Faber-Castell. Kythe is also lucky to have volunteer photographers as they immortalized family moments very well with great pictures–Mr. Jerry Jose and Advocacy Photographers (AP) Ivan and Andrew. Behind this event are the hardworking people of Kythe, who will not tire of giving patients and their families this kind of experience. Great job!
