For thirty two years, over 20,000 children have experienced a semblance of a “normal” childhood amidst hospitalization and while fighting a life-threatening illness. This is done through a meaningful partnership with individuals, volunteers, and the social responsibility efforts of various corporations in support to our flagship campaigns:
Adopt A Patient
This campaign covers monthly financial support to help with the medical expenses of the children who have been newly diagnosed with cancer or are under the maintenance phase of chemotherapy.
Celebrate Life Party
There’s always a reason to celebrate!
The Celebrate Life Party is one of Kythe’s longest running programs sponsored by groups or individuals to spend time with the children in any of Kythe’s affiliate hospitals. As its name suggests, these parties are not only a way of giving back but also for celebration of life!
Personal Activity Kit
The Personal Activity Kit contains art materials that engage the thinking and creative faculties of children. Children are continually learning and in need of enriching activities regardless of the disease.
Kythe appropriates each Personal Activity Kit based on a child’s age group: Pre-school (<5 years old); school age (6-10 years old); and teens (11-18 years old) whether in hospitals, at their homes or while their conditions do not allow them yet to go to school or explore outdoors. With corresponding online playdate sessions guided by child life coordinators, each Personal Activity Kit is carefully packed and planned to maximize the capacity of children to still play and learn.
Allowing children to play is teaching them to learn. Support their personal growth with the Personal Activity Kit, available at 599 PHP per kit.
Hospital Safety Kit
Relaxing COVID protocols give all the more reason to equip children in hospitals with the Hospital Safety Kit. The contents of the kit have been consulted with doctors in partner hospitals thus making sure that each item is safe to be used by any given child with specific medication, treatment, and conditions— KN95 masks, surgical face masks, thermometer, paracetamol, cough syrup, alcohol, wet wipes, sanitizer, Scotts Vitamin C, ear-savers, liquid hand soap.
Choosing protection above all else gives children the chance to stay happy and alive. Afford them that fighting chance with the Hospital Safety Kit at 1,399 PHP per kit.
Wellness Campaign
As we place the utmost importance on the safety of pediatric patients during their hospital treatment with the help of the Hospital Safety Kits (HSKs), we are also deeply committed to ensuring they receive the necessary nutrition to enhance their well-being amidst the challenges they face.
Alongside the existing items in our Hospital Safety Kits—KN95 masks, surgical face masks, thermometers, paracetamol, cough syrup, alcohol, wet wipes, sanitizer, Vitamin C, ear-savers, and liquid hand soap—we are thrilled to introduce a new and significant addition: MILK.
At Kythe, our dedication extends beyond addressing only the medical needs and safety of our beneficiaries; we also prioritize their holistic well-being, making the hospital a haven of safety and happiness for each child under our care.
