Teens with Cancer Celebrate Love Month

Philippine Children’s Medical Center, in partnership with Kythe, had a pre-Valentine party dubbed Valentine’s Ball 2019. This year’s celebration allowed Hematology-Oncology patients to take a breather from their daily hospital routine, and enjoy an afternoon of fun with their family and friends. The girls were all dolled up with the help of professional volunteer make-up artists. The girls were transformed to glamorous ladies, with just a few strokes of the artist’s brush. The boys likewise looked manly in their cowboy outfits, complete with hats and scarves! The Hematology-Oncology Fellows, nurses, other hospital personnel and Kythe staff lent a hand to make the party a success. A few celebrity guests dropped by and gamely posed for selfies, to the delight of the crowd. It was but a few brief hours of fun and excitement, but those few moments gave teens with cancer memories to cherish forever!
