In Kythe’s modest capacity, medicines are provided for children with chronic illness. We accomplish this through the help of our sponsors who take part in our Kapitan Kimo fund.
Kapitan Kimo aims to support families in affording medicines for the improved condition of their children with serious sickness. Kythe encourages generous hearts to give at least P200,000.00 for a child’s medications in a year.
This project found a take off point in the storybook, Kapitan Kimo (by Allan Cabisaga). It features why chemotherapy is necessary to defeat cancer cells. The exploits of Kapitan Kimo is an example of Kythe Child Life Program material that aids provision of psycho-social support for child-cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
