Batangas Medical Center: The Newest Kythe Partner Hospital

March 14, 2012 marked the formal opening of the new OB-Gyne and Pediatric Building of the Batangas Medical Center (formerly Batangas Regional Hospital).  The Kythe core team headed by its Executive Director, Maria Fatima Garcia-Lorenzo (leftmost, upper right frame); Batangas Medical Center-Pediatrics Department OIC, Dr. George Ty (second from left, upper right frame ); Kythe President, Mr. Gerry Bacarro (third from left, upper right frame), and; Consultant, Batangas Medical Center Pediatrics Department, Dr. Elizabeth Palines (rightmost, upper right frame) were present at the inaugural.  Kythe has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Batangas Medical Center to transfer technology and practice of the Kythe Child Life Program to the hospital’s pediatric department.  The holy mass and blessing were officiated by Rev. Fr. Romy Barrion (see upper left frame).  The guest of honor was the Department of Health Undersecretary Teodoro J. Herbosa (lower left frame).
