With the generosity of third-time event sponsor William Bayot, Kythe held its annual Family Day last June 27, 2015 at the Philippine Heart Center. Prior to Family Day, William and his friends had been active in raising funds for two of the Kythe hospitals in the Adopt-a-Hospital Campaign. John Uy Bomping assisted in organizing the event.
Seventy-five Kythe families with a total of five members—with first-time attendees from Tarlac Provincial Hospital—came to the event, ready for a number of activities and opportunities to bond with each other and with newfound friends. The theme of the party was Minions (from the Despicable Me / Minions movies), with PHC decorated for the occasion. The kids played games, watched a balloon twisting show, and availed of the photo booth.
One highlight of the event was the commemoration of Father’s Day. After a short film tribute for the fathers—for their love and loyalty–each family received a cake, and blew out candles for wishes that they made for happiness.
Lunch and loot bags for the families were provided during the event. Letters of thanks to Mr. Bayot were given by the kids. The support of volunteers from World Vision and friends of Mr. Bayot were also acknowledged by Kythe.
For another wonderful day to celebrate the family, Kythe thanks all who made the event possible.
